Charles Barkley Disappointed At Anthony Davis’ Failure To Become The Best Player In The NBA

Anthony Davis has always been regarded as one of the top players in the NBA. Even in his time with the New Orleans Pelicans, Davis was a double-double machine and a monster on both ends of the floor despite the team’s lack of success.

Since impressing with the Pelicans and proving himself as an NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, many fans and pundits have had high regards for Davis to become a an MVP-type of player or even the best player in the NBA.

While Davis is still a dominating presence, he hasn’t reached his full potential at this stage of his career. Now, NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley is disappointed with Davis, saying that the 29-year Lakers big man should’ve been the best player in the league by now.

“Anthony Davis, I said five years ago ‘this guy is gonna be the best player in the world’, and he has disappointed everybody. He should have been the best player in the league by now.”
