Chandler Parsons Thinks DeMar DeRozan Only Is A Top 30-40 Player In The NBA: “League Is Just Talented Now”
DeMar DeRozan has always been a star in the NBA. Last season, DeRozan had quite a career year with the Chicago Bulls where he averaged 27.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game on 50.4% shooting from the field.
DeRozan was leading the Bulls to the top seed in the Eastern Conference early of last season and was even in the mix for the MVP award, but an injury bug hit the Bulls which eventually caused them to fall in the standings.
This season, the Bulls haven’t been winning a lot of games but that doesn’t stop DeRozan from being bright spot. So far this year, DeRozan is putting up 26.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game on 51.4% shooting.
With that being said, former NBA player Chandler Parsons was now asked whether he thinks that the 33-year old Bulls star is a top 15 player in the NBA. Given DeRozan’s performance thus far, Parsons exclaimed that DeRozan is not top 15 but more of a top 30-40 player in the NBA.
“I think he’s more in the 30 to 40 range,” he said. “And that’s not even a knock on DeMar. I think the league is just so talented now, and there’s a lot of guys that I would personally rank higher than him, but yeah, he’s a bucket.”
“If you name a team pretty much besides the Spurs, the Magic and the Rockets, there’s someone on that team that I would rank higher than DeMar DeRozan.”
