Warriors GM Bob Myers Hates It When Other Players And People Use Kobe Bryant’s ‘Mamba Mentality’
Kobe Bryant not only dominated opponents by displaying toughness, confidence, footwork and explosiveness, he also had a work ethic that was more than outstanding.
This work ethic was dubbed ‘Mamba Mentality’ early in Bryant’s career and has since become a mantra, and also a slogan many other players want to see their name referred to, as well.
During his appearance on the ‘All the Smoke’ podcast, Golden State Warriors General Manager Bob Myers however, now revealed that he takes issue with people casually using the slogan so loosely.
“When people use the Mamba Mentality, you guys don’t do that. You’re not him. Nobody should be allowed to say that. I’m sorry. There is nobody there like him.
When people say that, it bothers me and I’m like, I don’t pretend like I do that, but I’m like, you don’t get to say that. That’s not a throwaway line … I’m sorry, but that went with him. Come up with something else.”
