Things Aren’t Looking Good For Lonzo Ball; Still Has Pain And Remains Without Timetable

Lonzo Ball had massive hype entering the league, and while he remains a valuable asset in the NBA, constant injuries have prevented his career from reaching the next level over and over again.

Ball offers a unique skillset that allows him to be impactful in all areas of the floor with a lot of untapped potential left, but the mentioned injuries have always slowed down the promising career of the eldest Ball brother.

Before the season, the Chicago Bulls were hopeful to have Ball back for the start of the season, after his surgery last season, but the point guard was in need ofĀ a second surgery on his knee, after being unable to run or jump and even having pain walking up stairs.

Now, a quarter into the season, things are still looking grim for the former number two pick. This is what Bulls head coach Billy Donovan revealed in a recent press conference.

Per Chicago Tribune:

ā€œItā€™s been really slow. Itā€™s gotten better, but is he clearly without any pain? No, heā€™s not. He still has pain. Weā€™re seeing the slow, gradual strides getting better, but I just donā€™t have any timetable of when he could even be back…

The next step is weā€™ve got to get him into some contact, but weā€™re not even close to that… “
