Jordan Poole Claims Teams Are Guarding Him Like His Fellow Teammate Stephen Curry
There’s no denying the talent that is present within the Golden State Warriors. Though the likes of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson usually get the spotlight, one player that has stood out is Jordan Poole.
In his young NBA career, Poole went from being a bench warmer to a dazzling offensive threat that proved to be worthy of a contract extension. He has been a key member of the Warriors and was even an instrumental part in the Warriors’ championship success last season.
Poole continues to be a productive player for the Warriors following his breakout campaign last year. That said, the 23-year old guard has struggled with consistency and hasn’t been playing as good as he did last season.
Perhaps, one of the reasons for his struggles is the added defensive pressure he faces this season as even suggested by head coach Steve Kerr in a previous interview. Now, speaking of the defensive attention he gets, Poole now claimed that he’s being guarded like his fellow teammate Steph Curry.
“How people are guarding Steph in the first unit is how they’re guarding me in the second unit. When we’re not on the court together, I get the same coverage as he gets.”
