Dillon Brooks Challenges Devin Booker To Suit Up For Their Next Matchup: “He Ain’t Scoring 50 On Me”
Dillon Brooks has been a big factor for the Memphis Grizzlies this season. Not only can he provide some tenacious perimeter defense and reliable shot creation, but also some of the intangibles that do not appear on the stat sheet.
Brooks is someone who isn’t afraid to do some talking. He knows how to mess around and get into an opponent’s head. We’ve just got to witness it last night, when he had back and forths with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Nothing was off the table for Brooks, even if it means getting into a spat with someone not playing and sitting on the bench.
That’s exactly what happened when the Memphis Grizzlies took on the Phoenix Suns last Friday night. During the game, Brooks engaged in some chirping with Suns shooting guard Devin Booker who didn’t play due to injury, and challenged him to suit up for their next matchup on Tuesday.
“I told him I really wanted him. And I told him, too, so I hope he plays in the M (Memphis) so I can guard him because he ain’t scoring 50 on me.”
