Stephen And Ayesha Curry To Install 150 Libraries In Oakland To Help Raise Literacy For Underprivileged Kids
Stephen and Ayesha Curry are once again giving back big time to underprivileged families. The star-couple are having 150 small libraries installed in Oakland to help raise literacy, through their Eat.Learn.Play. Foundation.
Ayesha Curry: “From kindergarten through third grade, making sure that you are reading at your grade level by the time you get to third grade determines your entire educational future. So for us, turning those numbers around is just really, really important.”
Stephen Curry: “These boxes, can hopefully make the access to literacy resources and service these kids in a fun way and accessible way. Like Ayesha said 150 of these are going to go around Oakland in the right areas and locations. But that means 30,000 books at the hands of kids that need the inspiration, the tools to develop at the right ages and hopefully bring an amazing experience of fun to reading which is what it’s all about.”

Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Eat.Learn.Play. Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2018 with the goal of improving the lives of children and families in underserved communities. The foundation focuses on three main areas: Eat, which aims to provide healthy and nutritious meals to children in need; Learn, which aims to improve access to education and learning resources; and Play, which promotes the importance of play and physical activity for children’s overall well-being.
One of the foundation’s main initiatives is its Eat.Learn.Play. Kitchen program, which provides healthy meals to children in low-income areas through partnerships with schools and community organizations. The foundation also supports educational programs and initiatives that provide access to books, technology, and other learning resources.
The foundation has made a significant impact in the communities it serves, and Stephen and Ayesha Curry have been praised for their dedication to giving back and making a positive difference in the lives of children and families.
