Steve Kerr Declares Draymond Green As The Best Defensive Player He Has Ever Seen
Draymond Green’s offensive game may be limited, but his defense remains top-notch. The 30-year old Golden State Warriors forward is a historically great defensive player with seemingly no glaring weaknesses on his defensive game.
He can protect the rim, make the right defensive reads, match up well with either guards or big men, and is capable of taking on the toughest defensive assignments. He has anchored his team’s defense over the years, and that has helped them in capturing four NBA titles.
Draymond has now earned a massive compliment from Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.
In his career, Kerr played with some of the best defenders of all-time such as Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, Tim Duncan, David Robinson and Bruce Bowen, to name a few. But according to the 57-year old head coach, Draymond gets the nod as the best defensive player he has ever seen.
“He’s the best defender I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been around some really good ones. … I’ve never seen anything like it.”
