“Vote For Lauri” – Walker Kessler Has Officially Become Lauri Markkanen’s All-Star Campaign Manager
Lauri Markkanen has made a big impact on the Utah Jazz in his first season with the team. The 7-foot power forward, who was acquired in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the off-season, has brought a much-needed scoring presence to the Jazz frontcourt.
In his first year in Utah, Markkanen is averageing 24.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, while making 52.9% of his shots. He has also shot a solid 42% from three-point range, making him a dangerous stretch four for opponents to defend. Markkanen’s shooting ability has opened up the floor for the rest of the Jazz offense, and he has consistently provided a scoring punch off the bench.
In addition to his scoring, Markkanen has also been a strong rebounder and shot blocker for the Jazz. His size and athleticism have allowed him to be a force on the defensive end.
As he continues to develop and improve, many see Markkanen making his first All-Star Team this year. Even more so, as he’d be the local hero, with the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend being hosted by Salt Lake City.
Makkanen’s teammate Walker Kessler at least seems to trying his best in helping the Finnish big man reach this career milestone, and has become Markkanen’s All-Star Game campaign manager. This is hilarious.
