Christian Wood Hilariously Rejects Rockets Fan Asking For A Photo
Dallas Mavericks big man Christian Wood is a prime example of ‘how believing in oneself when no-one else appears to do so’ pays off.
In the 2015 NBA Draft, Wood went undrafted. In most cases, this is the worst thing that can happen to a college player with hopes of making it into the NBA. But after some reassurance from his mother, Wood used this disappointment as fuel.
After some a great first year in Houston however, Wood and the franchise weren’t able to see eye-to-eye anymore – first leading to a rift between player and franchise, and then to an eventual trade to the Dallas Mavericks.
In Dallas, Wood has been able to find back to his old-self and be a force offensively, especially in the last few weeks. For the season, Wood is averaging efficient 18.0 points with 8.1 rebounds.
Before last night’s double overtime win against the Lakers in Los Angeles – Wood scored 24 points, added 14 rebounds, six assists, one steal, and five blocks – the big man signed a few autographs before he made his way to the arena.. But only for Mavericks fans.
Wood savagely rejected one poor Rockets fan looking to take a picture with him.
Fan: “Can I take a photo? I’m a Rockets fan.”
Christian Wood: “Nah I can’t take photos with Rockets fans.”
