Michael Beasley Believes Ja Morant Will Become The Best Player In The NBA: “He’s One Of Those Back-To-Back MVPs”
There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Ja Morant, and he’s just in the early phase of his career. In his fourth season, not only Morant is showing he’s a promising young player, but he’s already solidifying himself as a superstar in the NBA.
Morant is averaging 27.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 7.9 assists per game on 46.8% shooting from the field this season. The Memphis Grizzlies have been dominant with him as the lead guy, sitting second in the Western Conference with a record of 28-13.
With his highly productive play and ability to lead his team, it’s not hard to picture Morant as a potential MVP winner in the NBA. In fact, former No.2 overall pick Michael Beasley even sees him becoming a back-to-back MVP winner and the best player in the NBA.
Per Sports Illustrated:
“The next person I think is going to win MVP for the next couple years is Ja Morant,” Beasley said. “He’s one of those back-to-back MVPs. He got the potential to be a world talent. The way he plays is brand new. You got to watch how he handles the ball, you got to watch the moves he makes. His rights, his lefts, his euros. I ain’t gonna lie, Ja Morant is going to be the best player in the league.”
