The Dallas Mavericks have been in the spotlight as of late following their acquisition of 30-year old offensive star Kyrie Irving. The Mavericks have struggled to find the perfect co-star for Luka Doncic for years, but they seemed to have struck gold this time around.
Doncic and Irving are two of the most polarizing stars in the NBA right now. The former is a one-man wrecking crew who knows how to break defenses and win games with little to no help, while the latter is a tremendous isolation scorer who is capable of knocking down big shots on a nightly basis.
The two players have only shared the floor together for two games this season, but NBA Hall of Famer and current NBA analyst Kevin Garnett is already putting them ahead of their peers as the best duo in the Western Conference.
“There’s no better two in the West. You can see Kawhi and PG, but there’s not two better mother*ckers in the West. Luka can sit out a whole quarter and come back, tag you in. Sh*t boy, you tripping. We were talking about top 10 ones, both of them are on the list.”
Double Alphas. Kyrie and Luka! Best duo in the West. @paulpierce34 ain’t goin for it tho. I’m standing on it…https://t.co/RUZzyKAVc4 pic.twitter.com/Dcytm8i1yO
