Huge Mistake: Hornets Rookie Mark Williams Almost Got Fired In The Middle Of An NBA Game

Charlotte Hornets rookie Mark Williams has been filling up the stat sheet as of late. Just last night, he recorded his third consecutive double-double, and has played a key role for the Hornets ever since the trade deadline.

Ever since he was moved into the starting lineup seven games ago, Williams has averaged 12.3 points, 9.7 boards and 1.6 blocks while shooting 67.9% from the floor, and has been one of the sole bright spots in a pretty sad Hornets rotation.

During last night’s blowout loss to the Orlando Magic however, Williams almost made the biggest mistake of his young career, and possibly came within seconds of getting fired in the middle of an NBA game.

When checking out of the game, Williams didn’t notice team owner Michael Jordan sitting courtside, forgot to dap him up and left him hanging for a couple of moments. Thankfully for him however, he realized before it was to late and made up for it, so MJ didn’t have to say ‘… and I took that personally’.
