Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant continues to face backlash for flashing a gun at a nightclub during an Instagram Live. The video was uploaded just hours after the Grizzlies’ road loss against the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

Morant has already issued an apology and said that he’ll take some time off to work on dealing with stress. The NBA is already conducting an investigation into the incident as the 23-year old continues to be away from the team.

Former NBA player Royce White has now touched on the controversy surrounding the Grizzlies star. Mincing no words, White thinks that Morant and black people in general cannot cry about police brutality while making this kind of behavior at the same time.

“This is not something that black people should be onboard with. We can’t cry about ‘Black Lives Matter’ and the police using fatal force and shooting us in the streets but we drink alcohol at the strip club and play with a gun.”
