Shawn Kemp is widely considered one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history. Known for his exceptional athleticism, Kemp earned the nickname “Reign Man” for his high-flying dunks and dominant performances on the court.
Off the court however, Kemp has had to fight personal demons for a long time. From playing drunk, to having financial problems, to being arrested for drug possession, and illegal firearms, Kemp has had his fair share of altercations during and after his active career.
Now, some new allegations have made its way round the internet, and this time, they really are grim, as Kemp has reportedly been arrested in an alleged drive-by shooting.
“At 1:58 pm, an altercation between the occupants of 2 cars led to shots being fired at a parking lot in the 4500 blk of S. Steele St. One car fled. No injuries were reported. A gun was recovered. A 53-yr-old male was booked for Drive-By Shooting. The investigation is ongoing.”

A video obtained by TMZ, even shows Kemp firing a gun outside a mall, during the parking lot altercation prior to his felony arrest.
Per TMZ:
Witnesses tell us they heard multiple gunshots before pulling their phones out to record the incident … and claim they saw Kemp drive around the parking lot and ditched his gun in a bush before talking to police.
At one point, Kemp appears to attempt to flag down police to go after the other vehicle involved.
