Self-Defense: Shawn Kemp Released From Jail With No Charges Filed Against Him

Yesterday, we reported about the arrest of Shawn Kemp, who reportedly was part of an alleged shooting. 

Later that Thursday afternoon, Kemp was released from jail, and no charges were filed against the former All-Star.

Shawn Kemp’s attorney Scott Boatman, released a statement that said that Kemp’s car had been broken into, with Kemp acting in self-defense.

Apparently, Kemp’s iPhone was stolen, which lead to him tracking the device and finding it in an occupied car in the mall parking lot. When he approached the car, the people inside the car shot Kemp, who then returned fire.
