LeBron James is one of the greatest players of all-time. He plays like a freight train, is incredibly physical, and can do whatever he wants on both ends of the court. That being said, whether or not his opponents find him fearsome has always been a topic of discussion.
LeBron’s former Miami Heat teammate Mario Chalmers now has something to say about it.
Chalmers and LeBron played together for four seasons with the Heat. They went to four consecutive NBA Finals and won two championships in the process. LeBron was at his peak during those years and was inarguably considered as the best and most dominant player in the NBA.
Though LeBron isn’t that player anymore today, he has shown that he’s still an absolute beast of a player and can put up big offensive numbers when healthy. But as much successful and dominant LeBron has been, Chalmers now said that nobody has ever feared his former Miami teammate.
“Nobody fears Bron [James]. Nobody’s like, ‘Damn, I gotta go play against Bron tonight.’ Nobody said that. I don’t know why? Because I seen people be scared when they actually line up to him. But they’re not scared thinking about that matchup. You hear anybody from that era talk about going against Jordan, there’s a fear.”
“So when you have people that fear a player, then that’s telling you something different already. Jordan is just that guy. Everything was, ‘I wanna be like Mike.’”
