The Memphis Grizzlies had themselves an emphatic win when they overcame the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of their first-round series matchup despite missing the production of Ja Morant, who didn’t play due to right hand soreness.
Many counted the Grizzlies out right away, but the team is no stranger to winning games without their superstar point guard. In fact, they have a 31-15 record without Morant since last season and are now 2-2 in the NBA playoffs after defeating the Lakers.
Having proved time and time again that they’re still a tough team to beat even without the 23-year old point guard, Fox Sports’s Colin Cowherd now offered harsh criticism of Morant and also exclaimed that the Grizzlies are a better team without him.
“They’re a better team without him… He’s not a great basketball player overall. He’s a great scorer.”
