Draymond Green Breaks His Silence On Suspension: “Never Knew You Could Be Suspended For Flagrant That Happened Years Ago”

Draymond Green isn’t a marquee star that is known for box score numbers or an offensive arsenal, but he still remains a compelling and polarizing figure in the NBA that is noted for his trash-talking, on-court dirty works and defensive ability.

The 33-year old big man has constantly made headlines for his rough plays and other aggressive antics on the court. In fact, Green once again became a hot topic after he stomped on Domantas Sabonis’ mid-section after the later grabbed his leg in Game 2 of the Warriors vs Kings first round playoffs series.

Green was ejected, feuded with Kings fans in the arena, and eventually had to serve a one-game suspension.

Yesterday, Green finally broke his silence and revealed what he thought about the suspension.

“I never knew you could be suspended for a flagrant two that happened seven years ago. I also didn’t know you could get suspended for interacting with a crowd that’s flipping you double birds and yelling your name in chants that you suck and you interact with them. I didn’t know that either… My guys played well. My guys played really well, and stepped up to the challenge and it was absolutely incredible to see…

My fellas were in a dog fight, and not being able to participate, that’s crushing. Because you feel like you’re leaving them out there by themselves.”
