On Sunday, we reported how Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant can be seen holding a gun in yet another Instagram Live video. Morant assured most people with his words that he would flip the narrative around him, while also vouching to have matured, the video however is going to make things worse for him.
The NBA has already launched an investigation, while the Grizzlies have already gone a step further, suspending Morant from all team activities.
While executives from other NBA franchises assume that the All-Star will at least face a suspension of half a season, rumors of Ja Morant dealing with alcoholism have surfaced – not for the first time in his career.
In the newest episode of ESPN’s ‘Just get it done’ Podcast, Bomani Jones revealed the reasoning for the alcoholism allegations:
“Look I saw one of the videos of him hitting that bottle, alright, I seen multiple videos of him hitting those bottles. It is unfair and irresponsible to diagnose someone as an alcoholic from a distance, as someone who is A untrained to do that and B isn’t around him close enough. That is unfair. However, I know how difficult it is to drink tequila at the rate that young man would guzzle tequila from that bottle. All I’m saying is you can only do that with practice, and the level of practice it requires to consume tequila at the rate that I’ve seen him consume tequila? Healthy people can’t do that in my viewing experience.”
