It’s no secret that Draymond Green shares an utmost respect for Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. The two players have squared in the NBA Finals four times before facing each in the previous 2023 Western Conference Semifinals.
They both had a bit of bad blood earlier in their careers, particularly when LeBron was still playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers. But over time, the two players appear to have mended fences and now consider each other as close friends.
Now, many fans and pundits are calling Draymond a Lakers fan, especially after he picked the LeBron-led team to beat the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals. This criticism doesn’t sit well with the 33-year old defensive forward, so he now took time to address it in a recent episode of “The Draymond Green Show” podcast.
“By the way, for all of y’all out there that were like, ‘Aw man the Lakers lost and Draymond won’t do a podcast,’ I play for the Golden State Warriors. Some of you people are so pathetic, and like the beliefs you allow yourself to believe, and I can absolutely understand why life don’t be so great. Because of the beliefs you allow to enter your mind about someone else, really is a reflection of what you believe and think of yourself and how you operate and think.”
