Sports betting is on an all-time high, as online gambling is becoming legal in an increasing number of countries and states around the world.

While we’ve reported about a fair share of incredible bets with insane winnings on small wagers, this time, we’re doing the opposite.

Tonight, French unicorn Victor Wembanyama is going to be the number one draft pick (or already is, depending on when you are going to read this) in the 2023 NBA Draft.

People have been talking about him as a “generational” talent for years now, and it is easy to see why. At 7’4″ and blessed with athleticism that belies his height, Wembanyama could turn a rebuilding Spurs team into a contender in his rookie season already.

Since he’s a lock for number one, it wouldn’t make much sense to bet on it, as Wembanyama’s odds to go first are -20,000, right?

Wrong! One bettor now said ‘$300 are $300’ and put down $60,000 on Wembanyama’s draft.
