Charlotte Hornets center Kai Jones sparked speculation about drug use after an erratic and disturbing Instagram Live video on Thursday. In the video, Jones appeared to be sweating profusely, talking incoherently, and dancing around. He also made several claims that some fans found to be suspicious, such as saying that he didn’t think the Hornets would trade him.
Social media speculated that Jones was on drugs, such as Ecstasy or Molly. The Hornets have not commented on the video yet, and Jones has not responded to requests for comment.
In the aftermath of the video, everyone on the Hornets roster reportedly unfollowed Jones.
