Yesterday, we reported about Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. getting arrested in New York City and charged with assault and strangulation after an alleged domestic violence incident.

According to police, Porter got into an argument with his girlfriend, WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick, at a hotel in Manhattan. The argument escalated, and Porter allegedly hit the woman several times and put his hands around her neck. Gondrezick, was taken to the hospital with at least one broken bone and bruising.

Now, some more horrific and gruesome details have come to surface. Not only was Gondrezick sleeping when she woke up to Porter hitting her (according to the Daily Mail, police said Gondrezick was upset with Porter how late he had been out, and locked the hotel door. He got in with help from security.), Porter also didn’t stop his assault until the she ran out into the hallway covered in blood.

Assistant Manhattan District Attorney Mirah Curzer said Porter has a history of abusing Gondrezick, including an incident in which he rammed his car into hers.

Per ABC:

Gondrezick said Porter applied “pressure to her neck by forcefully squeezing it, causing her to experience difficulty breathing, redness and bruising to her neck, and substantial pain,” the complaint said.

Prosecutors said Porter didn’t stop until Gondrezick ran out into the hallway covered in blood.

She was taken to NYU Langone Medical Center where doctors said she suffered a fractured vertebra in her neck, according to a criminal complaint.

Assistant Manhattan District Attorney Mirah Curzer said Porter has a history of abusing Gondrezick, including an incident in which he rammed his car into hers.
