Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has signed a three-year, $186 million contract extension with the team. The deal includes a player option for the 2027-28 season.
The extension keeps Antetokounmpo under contract with the Bucks through the 2027-28 season, and he is now the highest-paid player in NBA history.
Antetokounmpo’s signing is a huge victory for the Bucks, who are looking to build on their success from previous season and who are one of the favorites to win the NBA championship in 2024.
After the news broke, NBA fans had plenty of reactions, with some of them being absolutely amazed…
The amount of joy all Bucks fans have had since the Dame trade is insane I can’t believe this is real

I’m shocked that Giannis didn’t wait until next season to agree to the 4 year extension instead but to each its own. Giannis gets a raise for 2025-2026 season while giving the #Bucks the comfort in knowing he is in Milwaukee for an additional 2 seasons with the possibility of 3… https://t.co/DiSYZq96Md

Been quite a month for the Bucks: swinging a trade for Damian Lillard on the eve of training camp, and now gets a signature on a Giannis Antetokounmpo extension on the eve of the regular season starting. https://t.co/43R38K9tYV

I’m very surprised but extremely happy. Giannis said he’d sign next summer because it would be more lucrative and frankly, I fully expected him to do that. I’m shocked he signed now tbh, but I love it. https://t.co/Cgs6DWlecV
