Last night, the NBA regular season tipped off with a doubleheader on TNT. In the first game, the defending champion Denver Nuggets hosted the Los Angeles Lakers. The second game featured the Phoenix Suns taking on the Golden State Warriors.
But, even though opening night featured the reigning champions, the best player in the league, Nikola Jokic, as well as their ring ceremony, the NBA didn’t feel the need to add them to their advertising graphic. Instead, Jayson Tatum was featured, even though the Celtics don’t even play.

This graphic led to a Charles Barkley reaction. He apologized on behalf of TNT and the NBA, whole calling it ‘completely stupid’.
“You sent me that graphic and I showed it to Ernie (TNT) and we just want to apologize to the Nuggets, Joker and the city of Denver. That’s completely stupid not having Joker on that graphic. I mean, we’re here all day!”
