Two years ago today, on December 2, 2021, the Memphis Grizzlies etched their names into NBA history by annihilating the Oklahoma City Thunder 152-79, setting a new record for the largest margin of victory in league history. The Grizzlies’ dominant performance shattered the previous record of 68 points, held by the Cleveland Cavaliers since 1991.
The game was a one-sided affair from the start, with the Grizzlies taking control early and never letting go. Memphis’ offense was on fire, shooting an incredible 62.5% from the field, including 19-of-36 from three-point range. The Thunder, on the other hand, struggled to find their rhythm, shooting a dismal 32.9% from the field and committing a staggering 19 turnovers.
