On Tuesday night, Draymond Green was once again ejected from the court. Just a couple of weeks after serving a five-game suspension for a headlock on Rudy Gobert, the Golden State Warriors star delivered a punch to Suns big man, Jusuf Nurkić’s face.

Both players engaged in a fight for positions on the court. Following the incident in the third quarter of the game, and after reviewing the play, the referees rightfully ejected Green.

Then, the following day, the NBA announced that Green has been suspended indefinitely. The NBA announced the penalty handed down by operations chief Joe Dumars and said the suspension begins immediately. A statement by the NBA revealed that Green needs to fulfill some terms and requirements, before he’ll get reinstated.

Now, Green’s head coach Steve Kerr finally broke his silence and agreed that this current version of his defensive superstar has to change, while also saying that Green’s previous Ts and flagrants, were not as problematic:

“The one who choked Rudy, the one who took a wild flail at Jusuf, the one who punched Jordan last year, that’s the guy who has to change. And he knows that. Everything before that, over a decade of play, what are we really talking about. right?! We’re talking about getting ejected for yelling at the ref, for throwing a ball… But look at the past year and what happened, it’s clear he needs the opportunity to change, and that’s what an indefinite suspension gives him the opportunity for.”
