LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell led the Los Angeles Lakers to a dominant 134-110 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers last night.
James had a stellar performance, scoring 28 points on 8-16 shooting, while adding five rebounds and five assists. But Lakers fans were specially happy with Russell’s performance.
The point guard was on fire, scoring 34 points and dishing out eight assists. D’Lo drained six three-pointers and shoot an impressive 66.7 percent from the field.
When there were a little over six minutes left to play in the fourth quarter, Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups waved the white flag and removed his starters from the court, as the Lakers were up 120-97.
The funny thing however was that LeBron immediately responded to seeing Billups calling it a night, while he was at the free throw line. So after his make, he not only intentionally fouled to stop the clock, but also called a timeout before substituting himself out of the game.
