The NBA trade deadline is fast approaching, and rumors are swirling about a potential blockbuster trade that would send Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray to the Los Angeles Lakers. This trade would be a significant move for both teams, as Murray is one of the league’s most versatile guards, while the Lakers are looking to add a star to their roster to help them compete for a championship.

Murray is a two-way force, averaging 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game this season. He has proven to be able to score from anywhere on the court, and has previously shown that he can be a lockdown defender as well. Murray would be a great fit for the Lakers, as he would provide them with a much-needed playmaker and perimeter defender.

The Lakers are reportedly willing to offer a package of players and draft picks to the Hawks in exchange for Murray. The player that the Lakers have been mentioned as potentially including in a trade for Murray most often is D’Angelo Russell.

However, Atlanta Hawks fans don’t seem to be too fond of the idea of D’Angelo Russell becoming a Hawk. Yesterday, the Hawks hosted the Lakers and the fans voiced their disagreement with these current trade rumors.

As Russell was at the line to shoot free throws, Hawks fans chanted:

“We don’t want you!”
