One year ago today, on February 7, 2023, LeBron James made NBA history.

In the third quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, LeBron James went for a tough fadeaway shot that went in – good for career points 38,387 and 38,388, breaking the NBA’s all-time scoring record, that Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had been holding since 1984.

After that, the game was immediately stopped for the celebrations, that included Commissioner Adam Silver, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and various friends and family members of LeBron.
