According to several reports, ESPN, FOX, and Warner Bros. Discovery are forming a joint venture to launch a new streaming sports service in the U.S.
The service will include content from 15 linear networks and direct-to-consumer sports services, as well as rights to major professional and college sports leagues. The service is expected to be available through a new app or as a bundle with Disney+, Hulu, and/or Max.
The companies claim that the service will offer a differentiated and innovative experience for sports fans, especially those who are not subscribed to traditional pay TV. The service is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2024.
Huge media news: ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros are planning to launch a joint sports streaming service later this year.
The move will place content from ESPN, TNT, and Fox Sports on a new standalone app and will have significant ramifications for the future of TV sports.
