Earlier this week, we reported about the arrest of former NBA player Ben McLemore, and the serious charges against him, that include first-degree rape, first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, and second-degree sexual abuse.
The allegations stem from an incident in 2021, during his time playing for the Portland Trail Blazers.
McLemore, a former NBA lottery pick, played for several teams during his NBA career, including the Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Portland Trail Blazers. He last appeared in an NBA game during the 2021-22 season with the Trail Blazers.
McLemore now has released a statement, saying that he’s confident that his name will be cleared, once the truth comes to light.
