The Milwaukee Bucks were touted as one of the best teams in the NBA following the acquisition of former Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard. While they remain a top-three team in the Eastern Conference, their regression this season is undeniable, finishing with a 49-33 record compared to last year’s 58-24 mark.
Many anticipate a deeper playoff run for the Bucks compared to their regular season performance. However, popular analyst Stephen A. Smith has a surprising suggestion if they falter, which is to move the 33-year-old Lillard in the offseason.
While we all know Lillard remains an All-Star and serves as an excellent complement to Giannis Antetokounmpo, Smith’s concern isn’t about his performance. Instead, it’s about Lillard’s apparent unhappiness being in Milwaukee.
“If Milwaukee loses, I think you need to consider moving Dame up outta there. I’m not talking about his game. He’s not happy there.”
