Jalen Brunson is putting the NBA universe on notice as he continues to lead the way for the New York Knicks in this year’s playoffs.

Currently, Brunson and the Knicks are matching up with the Indiana Pacers, leading the series 2-0. Brunson has been consistently impressive, averaging 36.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game on 56.8% shooting from the field.

The Knicks have been longing for a franchise-altering talent for a long time, and it seems they may have finally found it in Brunson. With this newfound success, conversations are starting to emerge regarding Brunson’s place in Knicks history.

Former NBA journeyman Stephen Jackson chimed in on the matter during an appearance on the “All The Smoke” podcast. Jackson believes Brunson can become the best Knicks player of all time if he leads them to a championship.

“Frazier is the best Knick of all time because he brought a championship there. Melo is the most known, and Patrick Ewing is the most respected. If [Brunson] wins a championship, he’s definitely going to surpass all of them. Considering the time we’re in, he’s going to pass all of them overnight.”
