NBA fans are in frenzy after Klay Thompson unfollowed the Golden State Warriors on Instagram and wiped his account clean of all Dubs-related content, even a championship celebration picture with Stephen Curry.
This has led to speculation that Thompson and the Warriors may be headed for a split this offseason. Having spent his entire career with the Warriors, Thompson is set to enter free agency. While a core part of the team, his performance over the past two seasons could make a new deal complicated.
Currently, fans can only speculate about whether Thompson will stay or leave. Adding to the intrigue, Thompson’s long-time teammate Draymond Green also commented on the veteran shooter’s social media activity.
“I know all of you were probably looking forward to me talking about Klay unfollowing the Warriors and deleting some IG posts or something. I had no idea that happened,” Golden State forward Draymond Green said on the latest episode of his podcast. “I think it’s f—ing hilarious.”
