The GOAT debate has been a staple of NBA conversations. While Michael Jordan has long held the top spot in many minds, LeBron James is steadily climbing that ladder, earning the respect of those who once had reservations. Kevin Durant is the latest to express his admiration.
Durant is better positioned than most to have an opinion on the GOAT debate. Not only is he an all-time great himself, but he also has firsthand experience sharing the court with the 39-year-old Lakers superstar.
Durant and LeBron now find themselves teammates for Team USA. Surely, facing LeBron as opponents was one thing, but being his teammate on Team USA opened Durant’s eyes even wider to why LeBron’s name keeps coming up in the GOAT debate.
