There’s no doubt that Bronny James has become the most-watched rookie in the current NBA Summer League. This massive attention is largely due to his status as the son of four-time NBA champion LeBron James.
While showing promise on defense, Bronny’s offense hasn’t quite clicked yet. He currently averages just 4.3 points per game on a disappointing 22.6% shooting from the field with the Los Angeles Lakers.
This underwhelming performance hasn’t escaped the attention of Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown. As if Bronny isn’t already facing criticism for being in the NBA, Brown added fuel to the fire by saying that Bronny isn’t a pro.

These comments quickly went viral, with fans arguing on both sides. Many fans agreed with Brown’s assessment, while others defended the young 19-year-old Lakers rookie.
Ultimately, the buzz reached back to Brown. While he hasn’t taken back what he said about Bronny, Brown made sure to offer additional thoughts on him, taking a more supportive stance.
“It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the nba it reflects greatness and longevity !Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful I look forward to watching his growth,” Brown on X.
