Buddy Hield Says For The 1st Time In His Career, He No Longer Is The Best Shooter On His Team

Buddy Hield, known throughout his career for his elite three-point shooting, has made a surprising admission: he’s no longer the best shooter on his team. The sharpshooter, now a member of the Golden State Warriors, found himself in the unique position of sharing the court with Stephen Curry, arguably the greatest shooter of all time.

In a recent interview, Hield candidly expressed his admiration for Curry’s skills, acknowledging that the two-time MVP is the league’s premier marksman. While Hield has always been regarded as one of the NBA’s deadliest shooters, the presence of Curry on the same team has forced him to reassess his own standing.

“No. With Tyrese Haliburton, we’d have competitive duels about that, but Steph is, he’s the one. I’ve been watching all my life so [I’ll be] a sponge.[I’m] ready to learn, ready to watch him and see how he goes about his shooting mechanics, the way he goes about he works out, his routine.

I think it’ll be an interesting year for me, just to learn from him and see how he goes about himself, his professionalism. I think that’s why I’m excited.”

Hield’s humility is a testament to his character and his willingness to learn from the best. Despite being a proven scorer himself, he recognizes the extraordinary talent of his teammate and is embracing the opportunity to grow as a player in such a competitive environment.

As Hield continues to develop his game alongside Curry, the Warriors’ offensive firepower is sure to be a force to be reckoned with.

While Hield may no longer hold the title of the team’s best shooter, his ability to knock down shots from deep remains invaluable to Golden State’s success.
