In a lighthearted moment during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony, NBA superstar Stephen Curry found a way to bring some extra entertainment to Team USA’s camp. Known for his playful nature, Curry decided to poke fun at his teammate, Anthony Edwards, by challenging him to a matchup against the USA’s women’s table tennis team.
The banter began when Curry interrupted an interview with Edwards, making a bold claim in front of the USA women’s table tennis team members.
“Ant! They said they can smack you 21-nothing,” Curry teased.
Edwards, never one to back down from a challenge, responded with confidence,
“In what, ping pong? I got some people talking about how they are going to beat me in ping pong 21 to 0; I don’t believe it! I’m not having it. 11 to 0? I’m scoring one point”.
The matchup we didn’t know we needed!
It’s @theantedwards_ vs. @usatabletennis.
