Many fans see LeBron James closing in on or even surpassing Michael Jordan as the greatest of all time, but former NBA star Stephon Marbury isn’t buying it. In fact, he doesn’t even rank LeBron above Kobe Bryant.

The LeBron vs. Kobe debate was once a heated topic when both legends were active, but it has since quieted down, particularly after LeBron led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a championship the same year Kobe retired. LeBron has since added more accolades, including the 2020 NBA championship and the all-time scoring record.

Now, the focus is on LeBron and Jordan, but Marbury isn’t willing to go that far. After LeBron was named Olympic MVP over his teammate Stephen Curry, Marbury has become more vocal in his criticism of the 39-year-old superstar. Now, he’s made his stance clear on the LeBron-Jordan comparisons.

“People wanna rank Jordan? Jordan shouldn’t even be ranked. It should be Kobe, then LeBron and then you can pick guys after that. There’s just no comparison man. It’s not the same. It’s just different worlds. Different mentalities. I don’t know why Jordan’s name is mentioned in the same conversation sometimes.”
