LeBron James’ performance was instrumental in guiding Team USA to their fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal, solidifying their dominance in international basketball. With his third olympic gold medal hangin from his neck, James rightfully was named the MVP of the men’s basketball tournament at the Olympics.

LeBron’s consistency and versatility were on full display throughout the tournament. He averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. His ability to contribute across all facets of the game was crucial in Team USA’s undefeated run. In the gold medal match against France, LeBron recorded 14 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists, and 2 steals, leading his team to a 98-87 victory.

This MVP award marks another milestone in LeBron’s illustrious career. At 39 years old, he continues to defy expectations and deliver outstanding performances on the biggest stages. His leadership and experience were invaluable to a Team USA roster that included other stars like Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.

But while James and his teammates lit things up in Paris on Saturday night, in a night of celebration that would stretch into the early hours of the morning, it was back to business for the NBA superstar rather quickly.

On Monday, the four-time NBA champion was seen visiting the Mercedes-Benz Plant in Sindelfingen, Germany. James arrived in style, with a Maybach delegation and plant security escort.

A Mercedes employee told OpenCourt-Basketball that the Lakers star was shown around the plant, as well as the design department, by Mercedes Benz CEO, Ola Källenius himself. On his tour, James not only was shown the latest models of the German car producer, but also the latest, not yet publicly released cars.

The information, whether this visit was business related or by personal request from James – Stuttgart only is a one-hour flight, or three-hour train ride away from Paris – has not been handed down. LeBron also did not come empty handed, as the anonymous employee revealed.  After the basketball superstar left the plant again, a Lakers jersey donning number 23 could be found in the foyer, together with a signed basketball.

James, who became the first self-made billionaire to compete in the Olympics, has his achievements extending far beyond the basketball court. His financial success is a testament to his business savvy and strategic investments. The four-time MVP’s career earnings from NBA contracts alone are valued at around $479 million. Beyond his NBA salary, James has made smart investments in various sectors, including media, entertainment, and sports. He co-founded SpringHill Entertainment, a production company responsible for popular films and TV shows, and has stakes in Blaze Pizza and Fenway Sports Group which owns the Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Penguins and Liverpool FC. These ventures have contributed to his billionaire status, making him a trailblazer in the sports world.

Additionally, James has secured lucrative endorsement deals with major brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, and Beats by Dre, significantly boosting his income. Judging by his impromptu visit in Germany, the Lakers star might possibly add Mercedes-Benz to this list in the nearer future.
