The Golden State Warriors’ dynasty has been over for some time now. Even with their 2022 NBA championship, they’ve gone from perennial championship contenders to barely scraping into the playoffs, with their latest season ending without a playoff berth.
Right now, the Western Conference is surging with teams like the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder, leaving many to wonder if the Warriors can still win another championship with Stephen Curry still playing at a high level.
This offseason, the Warriors picked up some nice pieces in Buddy Hield, De’Anthony Melton and Kyle Anderson. But according to Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce, the only way they’re winning another title is if they somehow acquire Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
“If you don’t got the personnel, you got to be realistic. They don’t have a championship team right now,” Pierce said. “The only way I see Golden State getting back to where they need to get back to is if they could find a way to get Giannis [Antetokounmpo] over there.”
