The 2024 Olympics gave us a sneak peek at some player combinations that would be insanely cool to see in the NBA. It’s the kind of chemistry that makes you wonder whether they’ve considered teaming up in the NBA or if they’re simply enjoying playing together in a non-regular season environment.
Recruiting isn’t the primary focus in the Olympics, but when you throw a bunch of stars together on the same team, the possibility of recruiting potential teammates is always in the air. Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton has certainly picked up on that while with Team USA.
Haliburton admitted that he didn’t shy away from doing some recruiting of his own, trying to persuade nearly every member to come to Indiana. At the same time, he revealed that he got hit up by teammates trying to recruit him to their squads.
“I recruited every guy on that team basically,” Haliburton said. “Anyone that wants to come join us in Indiana, I’m all for it.”
“There will probably something that comes out of it,” said Haliburton when asked if any stars from the most recent gold medal-winning team plan to join forces. “I definitely got recruited, but I’m not going anywhere.”
