Stephen Curry is the best shooter ever, still one of the top players in the league, and he helped Kevin Durant win championships with the Golden State Warriors. But somehow, Curry didn’t make the cut for Durant’s list of his perfect starting five in today’s NBA.

In a recent episode of “Boardroom,” Durant kicked off his starting five by selecting Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic to run the point. Among his former teammates, including those from his Golden State days, it was Klay Thompson who made the cut. Rounding out the lineup were LeBron James and Joel Embiid.

Going with Doncic over Curry at point guard isn’t too crazy, considering how great Luka is at this point in his career. But pairing that choice with a selection of a past-his-prime Klay Thompson and LeBron James, who overlaps with a lot of what Luka does, makes it clear why many are scratching their heads.

“me personally i’m taking curry at the 1. What do i need luka for if i have lebron”

“I cant play luka and Bron together ,,,Off goes Luka and Steph comes in”

“Blud really included Klay and left off Steph”
