In a recent interview with NBC Sports Bay Area’s Kerith Burke, Golden State Warriors’ general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. revealed a surprising piece of news: second-year big man Trayce Jackson-Davis had grown an inch over the offseason.
“Mike Dunleavy told me Trayce Jackson-Davis grew an inch in the offseason, and TDJ said he was surprised grew,” Burke shared,
Jackson-Davis, who is already listed at 6-foot-9, is now officially 6-foot-10. The former Indiana Hoosier, who is 24 years old, an age you normally don’t continue growing, admitted that he was taken aback by the growth himself .
“He knew something was up when his knees got achy,” Burke added. “He said he’s fine, nothing a little Tylenol and ice packs can’t handle.”
This unexpected growth is a welcome surprise for the Warriors, who have been looking to bolster their size for the upcoming NBA season. Jackson-Davis’ added height could provide a significant advantage on the court, especially in rebounding and defense.
Warriors fans and analysts alike are excited to see how this development will impact Jackson-Davis’ performance and the team’s overall dynamics. It’s not every day that a player adds an inch to their height, especially at 24 years old!
