The shooting guard position might not have a Kobe Bryant anymore, but don’t sleep on the position just yet. It’s still packed with guys who can easily take over games, and a select few of them could even end up in the all-time conversation if things break right.

Naturally, the debate over who makes the top five shooting guards continues. Anthony Edwards and Devin Booker are the obvious choices, especially after their gold medal performances in the Olympics. But beyond them, the conversation gets interesting.

Patrick Beverley, a player known for his blunt assessments, recently revealed his picks. Edwards, a clear No. 1 for many, and Booker, who narrowly made Beverley’s list, were unsurprisingly among his top five. He then rounded out the rest with some intriguing names, while notably excluding favorites like Jaylen Brown, who was fresh off a Finals MVP performance.

“Anthony Edwards is definitely in there, Khris Middleton is definitely in there, Paul George is definitely in there. That’s my three so far,” Beverley said. “This is when it gets wild. DeMar DeRozan is in there, 20,000 points and no threes. Some crazy sh-t. I got one spot, Book.”
