LeBron James has teamed up with Hennessy for a new ad that’s already creating quite a buzz. The ad, part of a collaboration celebrating LeBron’s incredible career, cleverly nods to one of his most memorable press conference moments.
In the spot, LeBron strolls out of a press conference, reminiscent of his dramatic exit after Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals. With his trademark humor, he drops a line about “chilling with Rashard Hennessey” and joking about starting a whiskey brand in Ireland.
“1765, I am chilling with Rashard Hennessey. I mean, I call him Rich, but don’t tell him that. He gives me the idea to start a whiskey brand somewhere in Ireland. I’m like, ‘Rich, you know what will be crazy? You need to do cognac instead of whisky and instead of Ireland, we need to go to France.’ Just like that, that’s how Hennessey got started.”
