Gilbert Arenas recently shared an anecdote involving Michael Jordan and Kwame Brown during a podcast appearance.
According to Arenas, the incident occurred during a post-game celebration. Jordan, known for his intense personality both on and off the court, had been drinking and found himself in a heated confrontation with Brown. Jordan reportedly hurled a derogatory term at Brown, calling him a “hoe.”
“We in Chicago. His hero is Jordan, his nemesis is Jordan, but his real nemesis is Oakley, right? I remember we sitting at the bar and Jordan there…Kwame’s like, ‘Yeah, I’mma f*** him up, I’mma whoop his a** now. Yeah… So, Jordan come, ‘Hey h*e. What your a** over here doing hoe?’ And Kwame didn’t say nothing.” Arenas said
While the veracity of Gilbert Arenas’ story cannot be independently confirmed, it aligns with the reputation Jordan has cultivated as a fierce competitor and a man who doesn’t shy away from expressing his opinions.
