The Cleveland Cavaliers have a unique tradition of welcoming back former players and coaches with a rotating billboard outside the visitors’ locker room at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
However, during their recent game against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Bucks decided to cover up the billboard with a towel, preventing their former players and coaches from seeing it.
The billboard typically features images of former Cavaliers players and coaches, including Taurean Prince, Dave Joerger, Greg Buckner, and Joe Prunty, who all have ties to the Bucks.
This is the rotating billboard outside the visitor’s locker room. #Cavs always welcome back former players and coaches. The move by the Bucks has been widely criticized as petty and unnecessary, especially given their recent struggles on the court.
The Cavaliers, who have started the season with an impressive 8-0 record, won the game 116-114, further adding insult to injury for the Bucks, who are now 1-6.
As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see if the Bucks can turn things around, but for now, one thing is certain: the rotating billboard tradition at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse has never been more relevant.
